Acrylic Paint Review (APR) is a site set up with the intention of helping acrylic painters to improve their technical painting skills by improving their knowledge of acrylic paint products.

APR was built in Nov 2009.

To help the site expand and to cover costs of running the site, APR runs advertising on the site and engages in the use of affiliate links. These affiliate links (such as the Amazon book store, Google ads, and affiliate ads) earn APR a small commission on any purchases that anyone makes when they visit one of these websites after clicking  our links.

With this said, we do our very best to remain objective in our product reviews.  Although everyone is welcome to leave appropriate comments on our articles, we do not accept full feature blog articles  from people who are not painters themselves.  Our reviews consist of our own opinions, formed in our own studios, as working artists.

We encourage our readers to submit their own reviews of the products in our reply / comment sections.  We do not write reviews in exchange for any direct payment from paint manufacturers, distributors, or retailers.

Being artists ourselves, we do INDEED accept free samples of products for review.  We will accept samples from our readers, paint manufacturers, distributors, or retailers.  Heck, we will accept acrylic paint samples from anyone who wants to send them.   Samples only please, not lifetime supplies.

Please know that sending us free goodies will not necessarily result in a favorable review of your product.  Sending us a GREAT product will result in favorable review of your product!

We do not endorse any specific brand of paint.  Sure we have our favorites, but we don’t work for paint companies.
